Chardonnay

 
 

A pinot grigio out of any scheme, but which conquers at the first taste. Red fruits, hints of woods and limestone in a dress of fine tannins that give freshness and length in the mouth. A wine that goes well with many foods and invites to stay in good company. Average production approx. 2000 bottles / year.

VIGNETI DELLE DOLOMITI IGT

Pinot Grigio

Our first wine, with the idea of ​​interpreting the typical aromatic vines of this area in a cuvée. The goal was to bring the grapes into the glass without filters. The result is a dynamic wine, deep in a basket of fresh fruit. A wine to discover, to have fun. Bottles produced ca. 2000. It is not produced in all vintages.

Bianco

 
 

A great wine that can be fresh, juicy, tangy and dry. It comes from different vineyards on limestone and porphyry soils. Large selection of Gewürztraminer grapes in the vineyard and on the table.

 

Spontaneous fermentation of the grapes in contact with the skins for 3 weeks in acacia barrels. To stem the "heat" we resorted to 30% of stalks in fermentation. Subsequently aging in small acacia barrels for 16 months.

VIGNETI DELLE DOLOMITI IGT

A silent Sauvignon Blanc. Its essence shows itself only over time, but with a lot of juicy freshness, ripe acidity and fruit to drink. A wine to discover new facets of a variety that often speaks a lot without saying anything. We want to make this wine sing. Cultivated on an airy hill above the Adige valley at about 400 m high on limestone gravel soils in a simple pergola form.

 

Ferment for 5 days with the acacia skins. Aged 12 months on its fine yeasts in large acacia barrels.

A PIWI wine (mushroom resistant) - Souvignier Gris variety, which we mainly cultivate in our vineyard with steep terraces in Naturns on granite and gneiss. The vines are almost completely treated with copper and sulfur and are therefore suitable for long-term contact with the skins. A very lively and multilayered wine that is simply a lot of fun in every way.

 

7 (!) Months on the skins in the used wooden barrel and with its lees. Following for 5 months in stainless steel, where it lightens, then it is bottled without filtration.

MITTERBERG GEWÜRZTRAMINER IGT

GT ROOTS

Put down roots, connect! Gewürztraminer has a great tradition in our region. We want to build on that, but in our personal way. A timeless, demanding but also easy to understand character that flatters the palate. A lot of juiciness and length. The grapes grow in a special small vineyard in Termeno. All kinds of other plants and fruits grow there. A true idyll that produces incredibly tasty grapes for our CRU.

 

7 months on the skins, 5 months in stainless steel, then refined in the bottle. No filtration.

LATO  SCURO

MITTERBERG IGT

From the red variety PIWI Regent. A light but full wine, intended to accompany everyday dishes or to drink alone. It is characterized by berries, spices and juicy freshness. Cultivation in Naturns on granite and gneiss.

 

Partially fermented with whole grapes (semicarbonique) for about 10 days. Subsequently aged for 12 months in used barriques and tonneaux.
